For Students

Gallows Hill is perfect for student groups who want excitement and are looking for an EDUCATIONAL and  fun interactive experience.

Our main show features the following:
Special effects and startling moments, including ghostly glowing bubbles that cover the group.
Testimony from the Salem Witch Trials retold on the stage.
Information about Gallows Hill and the people who were executed there.
A question and answer session about the Salem Witch trials.
After show  live discussions and demonstrations, such as unusual punishments from 1692. Students are brought up on stage to be shackled!
Our MOCK TRIAL is a hit with both students and teachers. Students are put on trial for witchcraft and must face the judge for questioning. They are then judged by their peers and a vote is cast to see if they are jailed for witchcraft!
A complimentary Griffen Theatre T-shirt is given out to a lucky student at the close of each show.

NEW!

Dark times: Excerpts from the Crucible

Both STUDENT and ADULT groups will find the after show discussions to be more historical and educational, with information on sites related to The Salem Witch Trials, and a more in depth discussion on Witchcraft as it exists today in Salem, Massachusetts. A T-shirt is awarded at the close of the show. Dark Times is a more educational show, with less emphasis on the "fright factor" and is also great for adults wanting more history surrounding the witch trials.
